Using the standard 16-pin interface, including:
1st pin: VSS is ground power
2nd pin: VDD connects to 5V anodic power
3rd pin: V0 is the contrast adjustment side of the LCD, while connects the anodic power is the weakest contrast, and is the strongest contrast connecting to ground power, and when the contrast is too high, it will produce "ghost (image)", so you can use a 10K potentiometer to adjust the contrast.
4th pin: RS is the register selection, select the data register at high level, and select the instruction register at low level.
5th pin: R / W is the read and write signal lines, when in high level, it will do read operation, and low level, it will do write operation. When RS and RW are low level, the instruction or display address can be written. When RS is low level, and RW is high level, it can read the busy signal. When RS is high level and RW is low level, it can write data.
6th pin: E-side is the enable end, when the E-side become low level from high level, the LCD module can execute the command.
7 ~ 14th pin: D0 ~ D7 is 8-bit two-way data lines.
15th pin: backlight anodic power
16th pin: backlight cathodic power
